Care is individually designed with family input incorporating the resident's life story, which lets each resident function at their highest level and relate to staff and family in a meaningful way.

Professional Staff


Our professional staff have the skills and training necessary to provide a safe and secure setting for persons with dementia. Our staff recognize the special needs of individual residents and the importance of consistency and team work.Our team members include:

  • Certified nursing assistant (CNAs)
  • Licensed practical nurse (LPNs)
  • Occupational therapist
  • Physical therapist and assistant
  • Physicians
  • Registered nurse (RNs)
  • Social workers
  • Speech therapist

Environment


We aim to make this place as homelike as possible. The residents participate in daily activities including hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. All of these are encouraged to assist them in retaining their life skills.

Multi-Level Program


Our multi-level program is designed to reduce unnecessary stimulation that can be upsetting to the confused resident.
This program includes the following special features:
  • 48-bed neighborhood
  • Consistency in staff training
  • Dining room and lounging areas
  • Electronic wandering system
  • Routine / structure
  • Soft non-glare lighting
  • Spacious courtyard
  • Specialized activities

Understanding Dementia Patients


We recognize the special needs of persons with dementia by:
  • Maintaining a calm atmosphere
  • Keeping confusion and agitation at a minimum
  • Using a friendly approach and speaking respectfully, which promotes calmness and creates a supportive environment
