I have had the privilege to serve the Livingston County Department of Health as the Public Health Director since 2013. I understand the importance of health and wellness, and the devastating effects of disease. Our professional staff has locally, regionally, and nationally recognized work. Together, we are dedicated to preventing disease and injuries, and protecting your health and safety.

Health impacts all of our lives in many ways. The work of our department, done in alignment with partners at the federal, state and local levels, affects everyone in the Livingston County.  Our work is accomplished by promoting the community health assessment and the NYS prevention agenda. This includes providing immunizations, mental health services, promoting anti-bullying policies, regulating restaurants, maintaining safe drinking water, providing nutrition education, preparing for disasters, conducting disease outbreak investigations, and more to provide our residents with a healthy place to live, work, and play.

Our website is filled with information about important health issues, events, news about our programs, and additional resources. I invite you to browse these pages and learn how our department fulfills its mission and vision.
