Court Security Unit

The Livingston County Court Security Unit is comprised of Sheriffs Deputies tasked with maintaining a safe and secure environment for courthouse employees and visitors. Visitors entering the building must have their baggage checked and pass through a magnometer before entering the facility. No weapons or contraband will be allowed to enter the building. The Livingston County Courthouse receives on average 50,000 visitors a year for court proceedings including Family Court, Surrogate Court, Supreme Court and County Court.
