GENESEO, N.Y., April 20, 2023 — Livingston County is celebrating National County Government Month (NCGM) during the month of April to highlight how the County provides essential services that result in healthy, safe and vibrant communities.
The theme of this year’s celebration of NCGM is “Counties RISE!,” an acronym for Resiliency, Inclusion, Solvency, and Empowerment - all county priorities that support building stronger counties. Since 1991, the National Association of Counties (NACo) has encouraged counties to promote county roles and responsibilities in serving residents.
“Livingston County is proud of the outstanding programs and services we provide to our more than 61,000 residents,” said County Board Chair David LeFeber. “From work on healthcare and roads to elections and economic development, our daily County efforts are helping to build inclusive, resilient, and thriving communities.”
