GENESEO, N.Y., June 15, 2023 – Senior Airman Heather Dulaney has been named the Livingston County Veteran of the Month in June and was formally recognized at the Board of Supervisors Meeting on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.
Dulaney was born in Canaseraga, N.Y. and is a graduate of Canaseraga Central School. She served in the United States Air Force from May 1995 until her Honorable Discharge in May of 1999. Upon completion of her military service, she earned her Bachelor’s degree from the former Rochester Business Institute, known today as Everest Institute.
While in the Air Force, Dulaney completed basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas, and completed her tour of duty at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida as a Weapons System Specialist for the McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle American twin-engine, all-weather tactical fighter aircraft. She deployed as an Aircraft Armament Systems Specialist in Saudi Arabia and conducted training missions in Las Vegas, Nevada and throughout Canada. For her military service, Dulaney was awarded the Air Force Training Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal.
After military service, she worked in a Walmart Distribution Center before coming home to Livingston County where she worked as a paralegal for a local law office and for the Rochester City Court. She worked at the Livingston County Family Court before settling in as an Account Clerk-Typist with the Livingston County Highway Department where she works today. Dulaney has a son and her hobbies include being outdoors. She loves gardening, spending time with family and spoiling her first granddaughter.
