GENESEO, N.Y., Aug. 18, 2023 – GLOW Region Solid Waste will be holding a free household hazardous waste collection from 9 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, August 26th in Mount Morris for those residing within Genesee, Livingston, Ontario and Wyoming counties.
The collection, which will be held at 3360 Gypsy Lane, Mount Morris, N.Y. 14510, is for residential waste only. Items from small businesses and farm waste will not be accepted.
Residents are required to make an appointment online by visiting www.glowsolidwaste.org or by calling (585) 815-7906.
Acceptable materials that will be collected include vehicle fluids with the exception of motor oil, lead acid batteries, household cleaning products, pesticides and insecticides, polishes and waxes, resins and adhesives, oil-base and latex paints and stains, florescent light bulbs and tubes, pool chemicals, driveway sealer, propane canisters and tanks. Passenger and light truck tires will also be collected for $5 and $10, respectively.
Please note – electronics will not be accepted at this collection site. Instead, residents can register for the electronics collection, which is scheduled for September 23, 2023.
