Alice Hay Wadsworth (1880-1960)
Wadsworth, wife of US Senator J. W. Wadsworth Jr. of Geneseo, served as the second president of the National Association Opposed to Woman Suffrage from 1917-1920. One argument was that women expertly ruled the domestic sphere and men the political one.
